Weird: Jerry Jones announces Cowboys made a trade but won’t tell anyone who it’s for

As Eagles fans, sometimes you just have to sit back and marvel at the pure incompetence coming out of Dallas. Jerry Jones refuses to act like a normal GM (like, say, Howie Roseman), and instead turns every move into a circus.

Because for Jerry, it’s never really about building a winning football team — it’s about attention. The drama, the cameras, the spotlight. That’s the real priority down there.

Case in point: during an interview with SiriusXM, Jerry proudly announced that the Cowboys made a trade that, “Immediately it will address some things that have been our shortcomings.”

This whole thing is bizarre, but also… painfully predictable. Of course Jerry Jones would pull something like this. The guy has openly admitted that any attention is good attention for the Cowboys. They aren’t in the business of winning football games — they’re in the business of getting headlines and patting themselves on the back for it.

Honestly, the funniest outcome here is Dallas not trading for anybody at all. Second-funniest: they do make a move and it’s so painfully underwhelming no one even blinks. I genuinely can’t decide which would bring me more joy.

Either way, the Cowboys are cooked as long as Jones is running the show. And honestly? That’s beautiful.
