Complete Guide on watching Eagles vs. Packers MNF without ESPN or ABC on Youtube TV

Unfortunately, I need to start this post off by letting everyone know that I have officially bent the knee. I no longer could stand alongside my brothers and sisters to “fight the good fight” in the streaming wars.

At some point, I have to pledge my loyalty to one entity, and I have chosen the Philadelphia Eagles. In preparation for Monday Night Football, I officially got rid of my YouTubeTV subscription and moved over to Hulu TV last night.

You’d think issues like these wouldn’t even have to be addressed but since YouTubeTV and ESPN want to drag everyone into their online legal battles, we can’t watch anything Disney-owned on YouTubeTV.

Wild, right? Basically the sides couldn’t come to an agreement and all those channels have been pulled from Youtube TV.

On top of all that, YouTubeTV thinks it’s a gesture of goodwill by offering a measly $20 credit since you can’t watch the most popular channels on their streaming services. Don’t expect them to just give it to you, though. You have to go claim that $20 discount code when they email you.

Now that you know what we’re all dealing with, we need to talk about the Birds who are in Green Bay tonight to take on the Packers in a little Monday Night Football action.

A few options to watching the Eagles tonight

At some point in the very near future, we’re going to have to reel back all the digital advancements made over the last few decades. You can start tonight with a digital antenna, that will get you the Eagles broadcast locally on ABC in the Philly area.

Streaming Services

You hate them. I hate them. We all hate them. You do still have a few options to watch via streaming services not named YouTubeTV. You can obviously go the Hulu + Live TV like myself. They are actually running a solid promo for new users. It’s $64.99/mo for 3 months, when you sign up today.

That’s roughly $30 a month cheaper than not only Hulu’s base plan but YouTubeTV’s anyway. While it’s a temporary fix, it’s actually a solid option here as you can pause your current YouTubeTV subscription and just come back once Youtube and ESPN hopefully sort things out.

Fubo

Another popular option I see a lot of people going with. It appears they are offering a free trial for their service which does indeed include ESPN and ABC. So you’ll of course be able to watch the Eagles tonight.

If you are in a pinch, which I totally understand in today’s economy, I would recommend the Fubo route, since it’s literally free, or you can always just go to StreamEast and watch the game for free as well. It’s not the best viewing experience, and you’ll probably have to close out of a bunch of ads/popups, but you’ll be able to watch the game.

The bottom line here is this all sucks.

While I’m not letting YouTubeTV off the hook, the clear enemy here is Disney/ESPN. They are trying to control everything. And they are the main reason for this issue right now.
