If you thought Eagles vs. Packers on MNF was boring you should not be allowed to watch football

Social media can be a beautiful thing, but it also has a way of exposing people. Monday night was one of those nights. Because if you thought the Eagles vs. Packers game on Monday Night Football was “boring,” you shouldn’t be allowed to watch football ever again.

From the dorks at Barstool Sports to every Gen Z clown tweeting from their mom’s couch, you all exposed yourselves. “Snooze fest,” you said.

Really? You want boring?

Go rewatch that Denver vs. Las Vegas dumpster fire on Thursday night. That was boring. Eagles-Packers was two heavyweight defenses throwing haymakers for four quarters in freezing Lambeau conditions.

Eagles vs. Packers exposed a lot of fradulant football fans

A very common heading I saw all over the place…

Clearly none of you watched that awful Denver vs. Las Vegas game on Thursday night

Just because the score wasn’t 42–38 doesn’t mean it wasn’t good football. This is the problem with half the people who live online pretending to be sports fans. You don’t care about the grind, the strategy, or the battle in the trenches. You care about fantasy stats and highlight clips. That’s not the only form of football.

Barstool Sports of course, is never off the hook. Their Boston roots really showed last night with that corny tone, trying to rage-bait Eagles fans for engagement. One of their bloggers even wrote that he’d “rather watch the NBA” than Eagles-Packers. Newsflash, little Greenie, nobody’s watching the NBA over the NFL.

Literally no one. Not now, not ever.

I mean just look at this blog heading from Barstool Greenie:

Then you’ve got this other guy who apparently is some self-proclaimed “Tesla investor” and “Robotics World Champion”, also known as a nerd. He was whining that he couldn’t watch the game because of YouTubeTV like there wasn’t an article on every sports website outlining every option available outside of that platform.

I wrote it before everyone, but we’re not going to sit here and cry about other websites ripping the content now are we?

Anyways, all good, brother. Stay far, far away. The game isn’t for you. You wouldn’t understand it anyway.

You see there’s a common theme here

Everyone was bitching and moaning over America’s game. It sounds a lot like terrorist behavior to me. It’s not very patriotic of you. You see, this is the problem with this country. We seem to all have forgotten that our freedoms were built off the backs of gritty, hard-working men. It was never about looking “pretty.”

I hate to break it to you…but let’s set the record straight.

Let’s Set The Record Straight

The Eagles and Packers have played each other three times in the past year. Two elite teams. Two elite defenses. You think they haven’t figured each other out a bit?

It was cold, hard, smash-mouth football in one of the most iconic stadiums on Earth. It was a fight. A chess match. Blood, sweat, snot, and everything else that makes this game what it is.

The game came down to the final seconds. A missed 64-yard field goal decided it. That’s drama. That’s tension. That’s football.

If that doesn’t get you up for a football game, I don’t know what does

So no, it wasn’t “boring.” It was old-school, gritty football fought in the trenches. It was the kind of game that separates fans from frauds.

Maybe you don’t like the Tush Push. Maybe you don’t like Jalen Hurts. Maybe you just hate the Philadelphia Eagles. That’s fine just leave the fake bullshit out of it. Don’t lie to yourself or the rest of us on social media. We all know you don’t like football. Maybe you like the idea of football… I don’t know, just leave the rest of us out of it.

The difference between you and me is simple. When the game got ugly, when it turned into a battle of willpower instead of fireworks, you blinked. I didn’t.
