Amon-Ra St. Brown gets punked by Eagles defense after spending all offseason talking trash
Amon-Ra St. Brown and his Detroit Lions got absolutely punked last night. Vic Fangio’s defense swarmed Jared Goff from the opening snap to the final whistle, suffocating Detroit’s “high-flying” offense and holding them to nine miserable points.
And of course, Amon-Ra St. Brown has spent plenty of time running his mouth about the Eagles — even saying his team would have the edge when they met this year.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, fight back
You simply can’t puff your chest out like Amon-Ra St. Brown does and then lay an egg on national TV the way he did Sunday. Two catches on 12 targets isn’t going to cut it. Not only did he get strapped by Quinyon Mitchell — who didn’t allow a single reception — Adoree Jackson had his way with him, too.
Just an embarrassing showing from St. Brown.
I’m anxious to hear what his excuse will be this time. But at the end of the day, the story last night was the Birds defense. It might be the best unit in the NFL right now, and it feels like they’re only getting better. The offense… yeah, we all know they need to get their shit together.
Still, this was a great win against a great opponent and puts the Eagles in a strong spot to make a run at the No. 1 seed down the stretch.
