Eagles Cowboys Preview TLL Phans of Philly Kelly Green

Eagles at Cowboys: Birds continue to win ugly while Dallas is dying loudly

The Philadelphia Eagles keep stacking wins. They also keep making everyone’s blood pressure spike, but hey… 8-2 sure does look great on paper, right?

If you only checked the standings and not your sanity, you might think the defending champs are cruising. In reality, the Eagles’ offense has been running like a train that’s barely hanging on to the tracks.

Jalen Hurts has been steady but rarely spectacular. AJ Brown has been frustrated and quiet. Even DeVonta Smith is coming off his smallest game in over a year. All of that is happening while Saquon Barkley is averaging two fewer yards per carry than he did last season.

So yeah, the offense has weapons and all the talent in the world, but they won’t do this fanbase any favors and actually prove that with any type of consistency.

Well… at the very least, the defense is handling business.

Defense wins championships, right? I know how easy it is to shift gears right now and focus on the positive while secretly hoping Hurts and Co. figure shit out sooner than later, so we’ll do that too.

Jaelan Phillips and the deadline reinforcements have transformed the Birds into a chokehold machine. Detroit found out the hard way and Green Bay got smothered before that.

The Eagles are winning knife fights. Now it is Dallas week and we are talking about a Cowboys team in full desperation mode.

The Cowboys are two fourth quarter meltdowns and one Jerry Jones presser away from setting their stadium on fire. They are 4-5-1 and clinging to playoff hopes like Dak Prescott clings to comeback narratives.

Honestly, I was going to make a claim that their win over the Raiders does not count because the Raiders quit on life weeks ago but even that would take too much effort to describe how “meh” the Cowboys have been this year.

Dak has been good. CeeDee Lamb has been good. George Pickens has been very good. Javonte Williams is having a comeback season that nobody outside of Dallas cares about, but the Cowboys defense is a complete disaster, giving up explosive plays on the regular to any offense who can execute.

Key Word: Execute.

The Eagles took Round One back in Week 1. Jalen Hurts scored twice on the ground. The Eagles defense smothered Dak despite Jalen Carter being ejected for spitting on him. Doesn’t that feel like a lifetime ago?

Now we have arrived to Round 2. Fucking great… ya know?

A lot of fans will tell you this game isn’t important. As usual, they are wrong. This game is very important and both teams need a win for very different reasons.

The Birds sit on top of the NFC with an 8-2 record and a 99 percent chance to make the playoffs. A loss barely moves the needle but I think everyone would love to see a few signs of life from the offense, especially when it’s against a shitty Dallas defense on the road in Kelly Greens.

Make a statement. Spread the ball around, and put some points on the board. Dallas is on life support. Their playoff chances are a sad little six percent. A win gets them to eleven. A loss drops them to three and ends the conversation.

The Liberty Line Good Omen

It is also worth noting that The Liberty Line will be heading down to Dallas with Phans of Philly this weekend, and recent history says that is basically a divine prophecy of victory.

It sounds insane, but we are undefeated on the road when traveling with Phans of Philly. Since the 2022 trip to Arizona, the Eagles have not let us down once. Eight and zero. Perfect. Untouched. Holy.

Cass even joined Phans of Philly in Green Bay last weekend. He technically drove up in an RV with his buddies like a complete sicko, but he linked up at the tailgate which means it counts and the streak remains pure.

Four years. Absolute dominance. The Liberty Line simply does not lose on the road with Phans of Philly. If you believe in analytics, superstition, witchcraft, government psyops, or any conspiracy theory, then this obviously matters.

The Liberty Line Road Record with Phans of Philly

  • 2024: Eagles at Saints (Win)
  • 2024: Eagles at Rams (Win)
  • 2025: Eagles at Packers (Win)
  • 2025: Eagles at Cowboys (TBD)

Dallas Week: The Liberty Line will look to improve to a perfect 8-0 when traveling with Phans of Philly

Btw… can Kevin Patullo and the offense wake up please? Enough already

Two touchdowns in two weeks is insane for a team with Hurts, Barkley, Brown, and Smith. Kevin Patullo’s offense has been stuck in the mud and then set the mud on fire.

The Cowboys defense loses them football games. They allow almost five yards per carry so I don’t care if we have our o-line healthy or reserves playing, Saquon Barkley should have room.

Of course, nothing about this offense is guaranteed until further notice but I really like our changes to run all over Dallas on Sunday, similar to what Saquon did to the Rams out in L.A. last year.

A defensive call to arms.

Jaelan Phillips has changed the entire identity of the defense. Add Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Moro Ojomo and quarterbacks are basically trapped in a pressure cooker.

Against Detroit, the Eagles blew up everything Jared Goff tried to do and made Dan Campbell look like he was calling plays off a bar napkin.

Dallas will test them, but not like the Lions or Packers did. If the defense shows up again, the Cowboys are cooked.

The Eagles are 3.5 point favorites.

The total is 49.5. After the last two weeks, the under feels like stealing. If Hurts and the offense show even mild signs of life, this should be an easy win. If not, buckle up for a 13-10 street fight.

Either way, Dallas week is here. Phans of Philly is rolling deep.

The Liberty Line is undefeated on the road. And when those three things line up, history tells us the Cowboys are in trouble.
