giants kicker kicks ground

Giants kicker Younghoe Koo had one of the worst field goal attempts in NFL History and somehow shocked absolutely no one

Younghoe Koo managed to do something I genuinely did not think was possible for a professional athlete. The New York Giants kicker fully, completely, utterly whiffed on a field goal attempt. We’re talking a full swing-and-a-miss like he was an overconfident weekend golfer chunking a sand wedge straight into the fairway.

If you missed it during Giants vs. Patriots Monday Night Football, congratulations on protecting your mental health.

For everyone else, you watched a former Pro Bowl kicker step into a perfectly good snap and a perfectly good hold and somehow make contact with absolutely nothing but the turf.

He kicked the ground and the ball did not move. The holder immediately fled the scene like a man escaping a burning building and then got obliterated fifteen yards behind the line of scrimmage. It is honestly hard to explain.

Naturally this disaster happened right after Jaxson Dart made a legit great throw to Theo Johnson, who did what Theo Johnson always does. Dropped it.

So you get the drop, then the worst field goal of all time, and then the camera pans to the Giants sidelines, who were all looking like a men that physically aged five years witnessing it.

Unfortunately, this is the Giants and really, this is who they are. They have already played multiple games this season without a kicker. They have had special teams moments so consistently humiliating that this somehow does not even crack the top three.

This is simply the newest thing for Giants fans to scream about while counting down the days until Joe Schoen gets fired, Mara sells, or the stadium spontaneously collapses from embarrassment.

Poor Jaxson Dart. Welcome to the NFL, kid.

You get drafted third overall, you get thrown into the lineup behind this offensive line, and your reward is watching Younghoe Koo forget how to use his own leg muscles.

Dart is out there already concussed and getting leveled constantly as he runs towards the sidelines. It’s like he’s trying to hurt himself to avoid having to play for such an embarrassing franchise.

Jaxson Dart thought he was still at Ole Miss, got sent to the shadow realm on MNF

Giants fans spent the last year hyping up a “new era” and instead wound up with the first field goal strikeout in league history. I honestly did not think it was possible for a kicker to miss the football entirely, but here we are.

First-ballot Hall of Shame material and the perfect symbol for the 2025 New York Giants.
