Nick Sirianni fires back at dumb Eagles offense narratives — Why does the media continue to ask all the wrong questions?
Another day, another Philadelphia Eagles media circus wasting everyone’s time with the wrong storyline. This morning, Nick Sirianni had to address a report claiming Jalen Hurts “doesn’t want to run the ball anymore.” And Sirianni, clearly exhausted by the nonsense, shut it down immediately:
“Jalen has proven that he’ll do anything he needs to do to win each and every game.”
But here’s the real problem: Philly media keeps obsessing over the wrong things. Again. Still. Always. No offense, some of you are great, but what are we doing here?
Nick Sirianni on Jalen Hurts not wanting to run the ball anymore
Nick Sirianni on if and how he handles the negative reports on Jalen Hurts, like the most recent one about Hurts not wanting to run:

Hurts running should NEVER be the focal point of this offense. It should be the emergency lever, not the foundation. Besides, the league caught onto Brian Johnson’s favorite play, the QB draw a few seasons ago.
The problem isn’t Hurts refusing to run.
The problem is the Eagles can’t run a functioning, rhythmic passing offense to save their lives right now.
As I said yesterday: This bizarre Eagles stat proves the offense is broken >>
The Eagles need to lean into the passing game and let Jalen Hurts play point guard.
- Quick hitters.
- Slants.
- Option routes.
- Middle-of-the-field dig sequences.
- Timing throws.
- REAL route concepts that don’t involve AJ Brown running 40-yard go balls every other play.
Make Jalen decisive. Make him fast. Make him rhythmic.
Simple enough? Now back to this media nonsense. Look, I get that these reporters’ livelihoods depend on scoops every day, but wouldn’t you think that means asking deeper questions?
And of course it’s WIP. The same station that has ripped Jalen Hurts over the years for leaning on his legs too much. Make it make sense. It’s why I can’t listen to that garbage anymore.
I want to know what kind of schematic changes the Eagles are going to make. What are they going to do to improve the passing game? Asking Nick Sirianni whether he’s considering changing play-callers or adjusting Kevin Patullo’s role does absolutely nothing.
It’s just like the Eagles’ offense this season — they keep doing the same exact things over and over again that do not work.
