World Baseball Classic Team USA Roster 2026

Where Team USA stands for the 2026 World Baseball Classic and the mandatory fixes they need to make to the roster in order to win it all

Team USA is shaping up to be absolutely loaded for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, but before we go around patting ourselves on the back, we need to address the obvious.

The roster is good. It can be great, and I am here to make sure we don’t embarrass ourselves on the international stage by pretending that every early projection is gospel.

I am going to clean this thing up but before I get into it, let’s be very clear to those who will inevitably comment on this post and say something along the lines of “The Liberty Line is wanna be FOX News” while calling us the “MAGA Line.”

That couldn’t be further from the truth. I am far worse than either political party and on top of that, I think it’s extremely fair to be a nationalist when talking about world sporting events. The World Baseball Classic is supposed to bring out the best in every country, so please take my suggestions seriously. Thank you.

Team USA’s World Baseball Classic Roster Is Taking Shape…

Kyle Schwarber can stay at DH

Schwarber is a living American monument. He is also an ambassador to Buffalo Wild Wings, which I am too in an unofficial capacity. Schwarber just inked a 5-year, $150 million contract to end his baseball career with the Philadelphia Phillies. It’s a no brainer that he’s back on Team USA in 2026.

Here’s where we need to start changing things…

Mike Trout should 100% be in centerfield over Pete Crow-Armstrong.

I’m so sick of people not realizing Mike Trout is the best baseball player on planet earth (when healthy) but that’s a conversation for a different day.

PCA is fine, but Trout should be there. If not, he can definitely take Corbin Carroll’s spot. He’s from Seattle, Washington. That’s basically a communist state so there’s really no logical reason for him to be a starter on Team USA.

Mike Trout is the starter, and if that offends anyone, please go watch another sport.

Trea Turner can play shortstop and move Bobby Witt Jr to second.

We all remember what Trea Turner did in the last WBC. The man single-handedly saved democracy with one swing. Leaving him off this roster would be the worst thing that’s happened to America since the MAGA movement turned into “America Last.”

Bryson Stott and Alec Bohm… unfortunately cannot be included

And it hurts me to type this. But the truth is the truth: Stott and Bohm are simply not built for Team USA. It pains me because Bohm is dating Erin Dolan, pride of Delco. But this is war, not romance. Big moments require big men.

Gunnar Henderson stays at third base.

That’s the most American baseball player name in the history of the sport. Bobby Witt Jr is a close second, too.

“But Drew, why not Brice Turang?”

Simple.

  • The name is soft.
  • He is from Corona, California. Soft.
  • He plays for the Milwaukee Brewers. Softer.
  • The NL Central is the softest division in MLB.

Judge stays, Skenes stays

I don’t like Aaron Judge, but I do like the idea of yelling “ALL RISE” when he hits a ball 480 feet, so he remains.

Paul Skenes is easy. He wants to join the armed forces after baseball. He dates Livvy Dunne. That’s automatic entry.

Bryce Harper at first base

Easy decision. Bryce Harper represents the spirit of the United States more than Congress does. First base is his.

J.T. Realmuto earns his spot through combat… mental combat

We settle the catcher battle like true Americans.

  • J.T. Realmuto.
  • Cal Raleigh.
  • Will Smith.
  • One episode of Jeopardy.
  • Topic: American history.

The top two finishers make the roster.

JT Realmuto is America. Thats a sweet, Oklahoma boy right there, ladies and gentlemen. It’s a tough call because you have Cal Raleigh from Cullowhee, North Carolina and Will Smith, a native of Louisville, Kentucky.

Those are pro-America states as well. Nothing but fairness here. The only way to truly settle who gets a spot is by having them compete in a Jeopardy episode about the history of America.

My method is not perfect. My logic is not supposed to soothe anyone.

However, it is undeniably the most American approach possible.

Team USA should take notice. I just democratic-drafted the roster for you, and it makes more sense than anything that comes out of the actual federation offices.
