Go Birds: Joe Biden was in attendance to watch the Eagles beat up on the Raiders
Joe Biden was down at the Linc on Sunday to watch the Eagles absolutely steamroll the Raiders, 31-0. Big win. Much needed vibes. Total get-right game.
I have one very simple, very important question. How does the former President of the United States show up to an Eagles game wearing a Super Bowl LVII hat?
You know, the one we lost.
You’re telling me nobody in that entire operation thought to swap that thing out? Secret Service, staffers, interns, literally anyone in the room? You go through all the planning, security sweeps, logistics, motorcades, and we end up with Joe Biden rocking a hat from a Super Bowl that still hurts to think about?
C’mon, man.
Joe Biden needs a new Eagles hat
Now, before anyone gets the wrong idea, no, this isn’t going to turn into a “Joe Biden is old” rant. I’m not here to crack jokes about his age, his speeches, or whether he practiced saying “Go Birds” in the mirror all morning before heading to South Philly.
I’m not going to mention that the image above looks like he is about to makeout with Jeffrey Lurie, either. That’s low-hanging fruit and honestly boring. This is much simpler than that.
A Birds fan is a Birds fan.
If Joe Biden wants to show up in the cold, and watch the Eagles beat the brakes off a bad Raiders team, that’s fine by me. Whether you’ve been bleeding green since Randall Cunningham or you just hopped on the wagon yesterday, you’re welcome in the building.
I just wish someone had taken the hat away.
That game was exactly what the Eagles needed. The season needed it. The fanbase needed it. A clean, dominant shutout to reset everything after weeks of chaos, radio nonsense, and manufactured drama.
Next time, though, let’s keep the Super Bowl loss merch at home.
