Nakobe Dean silences the Jalen Hurts critics with very high praise for the Eagles quarterback

If you have listened to sports radio in this city over the last few weeks, especially WIP, you would think Jalen Hurts personally ruined everyone’s holiday season. Every throw gets dissected. Every decision becomes a referendum.

He flat out acknowledged how ridiculous the swings are in how Hurts is treated. One week he is elite. The next week people act like he forgot how to play football. Anyone who lives in Philadelphia knows exactly what Dean was talking about, because we see that cycle play out constantly.

What gets lost in all the noise is reality.

Jalen Hurts has proven himself at every single level. He wins. He leads. He responds when things go sideways. The Eagles have never missed the playoffs with him as the starter. He has already taken this team to two Super Bowls. That does not happen by accident and it does not happen with a quarterback who lacks toughness or leadership.

The funny part is that now, after Hurts delivers another strong performance, the same voices that spent weeks piling on are suddenly walking things back. The tune always changes once the results show up. That is how it goes around here.

This is where I plant my flag. With everything still left on the schedule, there is not another quarterback in the league I would rather have running this team. Not one. Hurts has earned the right to have bad games without the city melting down every time it happens.
