AJ Brown leads the Eagles locker room as they officially enter Playoff Mode
Alright children. The time for games is over. If you’re not built for postseason NFL football, just close this out now and find a new hobby.
This is not the week to whine about schemes. This is not the week to cry about play-calling. This is not the week to do your daily talk radio cosplay about Kevin Patullo, Jalen Hurts, targets, touches, and whatever other recycled topic you have been screaming since October like it’s your full-time job.
Take that noise, roll it up tight, and throw that shit in the trash.
Welcome to the postseason. The Philadelphia Eagles have officially entered Playoff Mode, with none other than AJ Brown leading the charge. Our guy ESP said the Eagles locker room had a different energy this week. Loose. Loud. Guys hanging out at each other’s lockers.
The key line is the only one that matters: AJ Brown is leading it.
Not “talking.” Not “posting.” Not doing media therapy sessions. Leading. That’s what playoff teams look like when they actually believe what they’re saying.
AJ Brown: Leader.
Eagles vs. 49ers Betting Preview: Why the Money Keeps Pouring In on Philly
AJ Brown is not “a problem.” He’s the temperature. All season, the laziest fans and members of the media hit you with the same takes, saying that AJ Brown was “frustrated” and “wanted to be traded” and “only cares about stats.”
He cares about winning when it matters, and he gets pissed when the standard drops.
There’s a huge difference.
Championship players are annoying to people who like excuses. They don’t speak softly. They don’t smile through sloppy football. They don’t accept “we’ll clean it up next week” in December.
They demand it now. That’s AJ Brown. That’s why he’s the tone-setter the second the calendar hits January. That is why he’s been the driving force of the Eagles “Playoff Mode” in the locker room.
George Kittle “appreciates” Eagles fans and the respect is now mutual
All season all the uninitiated will say “he only cares about his stats.” In reality, AJ Brown cares about the team being ready to win in the playoffs. That is where any and all of his frustrations stem from and the only thing that matters is the standard in Philadelphia. Super Bowl rings.
As Jalen Hurts once quoted, what you may not know now, but later you will understand. The first test is Sunday in South Philly. It’s go time. Fly Eagles Fly.
