Eagles Injury Update: All 53 practiced, and that is a problem for San Francisco
The Eagles just walked into their final practice before Wild Card weekend with every single guy on the 53-man roster participating. If you are the 49ers, that is the kind of news that makes you clench your jaw because you know what is coming.
The big one: Lane Johnson is back in the mix
Lane Johnson practiced again Friday, his third straight day back out there after missing seven weeks with a Lisfranc sprain suffered on Nov. 16 vs. the Lions. The expectation is he returns Sunday. If he does, the Birds are basically rolling into a playoff game with 21 of 22 starters available.
What changed from Eagles Injury Report, Thursday to Friday
Did Not Practice on Thursday:
- Landon Dickerson (rest)
- Brett Toth (concussion)
On Friday, both were stretching with the team and wearing helmets, which is why it’s safe to roll with the “All 53” headline. Worth noting that Jalen Carter, Dallas Goedert, and Grant Calcaterra were practicing on Friday. The only playoff absence mentioned is rookie safety Andrew Mukuba, who fractured his ankle and needed surgery.
Being this intact heading into 49ers at Eagles on Sunday is huge, especially when Lane Johnson potentially stabilizes the entire offense in one shot.
The Eagles are healthy and playing playoff football in South Philly. Gotta love it.
