Phillies invite 27 non-roster players to Spring Training, headlined by Aidan Miller and Justin Crawford
The Philadelphia Phillies officially invited 27 non-roster players to Major League Spring Training. It’s a mix of top prospects, depth arms with real MLB time, and a few lottery tickets worth watching once camp opens.
Obviously, the headliners are SS Aidan Miller and OF Justin Crawford, two cornerstone prospects getting their first real taste of big-league camp pressure.

Aidan Miller, SS (Top Prospect)
Aidan Miller is the crown jewel. Ranked the Phillies’ No. 1 prospect by Baseball America and No. 32 overall by MLB.com, the 21-year-old dominated Double-A before finishing 2025 in Triple-A. He posted elite on-base skills, led the Eastern League in walks and stolen bases, and was named an Eastern League postseason All-Star. His strike-zone discipline is already big-league caliber.
Justin Crawford, OF
Crawford, the Phillies’ 2022 first-round pick, is coming off a monster season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley where he led the International League in batting average and runs, set an IronPigs franchise record for hits, and stole 46 bases. Ranked No. 3 in the Phillies system, Crawford’s speed and contact skills will be on full display when he’s inevitably added to the 40-man and starting in centerfield on Opening Day.
Notable Position Players:
- Felix Reyes (INF/OF) – Eastern League MVP who flat-out raked in Double-A and didn’t slow down in Triple-A. One of the most productive bats in the system.
- Dante Nori (OF) – 2024 first-round pick already climbing fast through the system with speed and on-base ability.
- Aroon Escobar (INF) – Florida State League All-Star and emerging power bat ranked inside the top five prospects in the organization.
- Keaton Anthony (INF) – Quietly one of the best pure hitters in the minors last season, slashing .323 across Double-A and Triple-A.
Pitching Depth:
- Génesis Cabrera (LHP) – Power lefty with 300+ MLB appearances and elite fastball velocity.
- Tim Mayza (LHP) – Proven ground-ball reliever with postseason experience.
- Jonathan Hernández (RHP) – High-octane sinker, top-10 velocity among sinker throwers over the last several seasons.
- Trevor Richards (RHP) – Veteran swingman who has logged nearly 300 MLB games.
- Bryse Wilson (RHP) – Former Opening Day starter with multi-inning flexibility.

This camp is going to matter. Between Miller, Crawford, Reyes, and a handful of pitchers with real MLB resumes, there are legitimate roster decisions to be made, not just jersey-number assignments.
Spring Training won’t decide the season, but it will shape it. For once, the Phillies have enough young talent in camp to make things uncomfortable in the best possible way.
