VJ Edgecombe Rising Stars All-Star Game 2026

VJ Edgecombe selected to NBA’s 2026 Rising Stars roster

VJ Edgecombe is officially getting the All-Star Weekend stamp. The Sixers rookie got named to the NBA’s 2026 Rising Stars roster.

It’s a 21-player field, and Edgecombe earned his spot the simple way. He’s been one of the most productive rookies in the league, and he’s already playing minutes like a veteran the Sixers can’t take off the floor.

VJ Edgecombe has been all over the rookie leaderboards.

He’s first in minutes and top 10 in a bunch of the categories that actually matter, including scoring, assists, and steals.

Through 41 games, the No. 3 overall pick is averaging 15.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.5 steals. That’s real two-way production, not empty calories.

VJ Edgecombe is truly a rising star…

The clutch stuff is what makes him different.

VJ Edgecombe can look quiet for long stretches, then the game gets tight late and he suddenly plays like the only guy on the court who isn’t nervous.

Fearless drives, instinctive reads, and a confidence that doesn’t make sense for a 20-year-old rookie. That’s why the fanbase has already latched onto him. He feels like a future problem for the rest of the East.

Rising Stars goes down Friday, Feb. 13 at 9 p.m. ET at Intuit Dome. The format is a four-team mini-tournament. The 21 NBA players get drafted into three seven-man teams on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET, and the fourth squad is the G League Rising Stars team.

Bottom line, VJ Edgecombe’s on the stage now. The league sees what Philly’s been watching all season. VJ isn’t just a rookie with hype. He’s earning it.
