Joel Embiid doesn’t care about All-Star snub and neither should we

Joel Embiid has accomplished just about all there is to accomplish in the NBA. Except, of course, winning a title. So when he was asked about being snubbed for the All-Star Game, his response was actually pretty refreshing, and something we should all listen to.

We can all acknowledge that he should have been an All-Star, or at the very least, an alternate. He also should have won Player of the Month for January. But none of that really matter anymore. He doesn’t care about it, so neither should we.

If a Philly athlete getting snubbed for an All-Star game still annoys you, we’re living in different realities. Every team in this city has the expectation of winning a championship. That’s how it should be.

Joel Embiid already won an MVP, he’s been to the All-Star game several times. Is anyone actually satisified with that? I’m not. And it sure seems like Embiid isn’t either.
