Relax: AJ Brown joking with Julian Edelman doesn’t mean he’s headed to New England

At this point, AJ Brown has to know that anytime he opens his mouth or shows up in public, everything he says is getting dissected. So when he hops on a podcast with Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski and casually trolls people into thinking he wants to be a Patriot, yeah — the internet is going to lose its mind.

Honestly, I’m here for it. Watching Eagles media spiral over something like this is funny to me at this point. If you only listened to 94WIP today, you’d think AJ Brown formally requested a trade and announced he wants to be in New England by Week 1.

If this kind of stuff actually annoys you or gets under your skin in any way, grow up. He’s messing with you because he knows how easily people take the bait. It gives talking heads something to fill airtime with, and we all know the folks over at WIP aren’t exactly lining up to come up with anything creative when there’s AJ Brown “drama” they can default to.

It gets clicks. That’s all anyone cares about anymore. Why do you think Edelman even asked the question? Because he knew that no matter what Brown said, it was getting clipped and circulated everywhere. And now here I am, writing about that exact clip.

Everyone needs to relax with this AJ Brown stuff already. It’s not even interesting anymore. If you genuinely think this is still worth debating, put the phone down and go visit your family or something. This isn’t productive, and AJ Brown winking when Edelman jokes about everyone being Patriots (and for the record, we are all Patriots — hoorah) doesn’t suddenly make it newsworthy again.
