Olympics Wisconsin Drinking Games Beer Curling Shuffleboard

The great state of Wisconsin just invented the best Olympics sport you’ve never heard of

The Olympics bring out the best in everyone and apparently that includes a group of guys in Wisconsin who looked at curling on TV, looked at their backyard, and said yeah we can do that.

They set up what can only be described as a life-size outdoor shuffleboard situation using what looks like a curling layout, some oven pans, cans of spray paint, and the most important piece of equipment: multiple 30-racks of beer stacked along the sideline like they’re sponsoring the whole operation.

It’s beautiful. Genuinely got a little emotional watching it.

The unofficial Olympics sport of Wisconsin just dropped and it’s electric.

This is American innovation at its finest.

No budget, maximum creativity, full commitment to the bit. These guys did not half-step anything. Let’s talk about the beer selection because it deserves its own conversation.

Natural Light. Coors Light. Miller Lite. Pabst Blue Ribbon. Milwaukee’s Best. Busch Light.

Honestly a pretty respectable spread for a backyard Olympics event. Solid across the board. If we’re doing light beers, personally it’s Bud Light, but we all know the road that brand has been down. Middle America has not forgotten and Shane Gillis and Post Malone have not fully repaired the damage. That’s just where we are.

Back in the day, the go-to move in Morgantown, West Virginia was the 30-rack of Beer 30. Running about ten dollars a case and tasting like it.

Beer 30 turned me into a man

The only viable delivery method was the beer bong, which we used, and used successfully. Some memories you carry with you forever.

The Wisconsin guys are clearly doing it right and honestly the only thing missing is a beer pong element baked into the scoring system.

Make it so every time your puck lands in a zone you have to drink, add a little stakes to the competition. Either way this Olympics setup is going to be on college campuses across the country before winter is over and that is not a bad legacy for a random Saturday in Wisconsin.

Keep doing what you’re doing, boys.
