Baseball Is Back: Here’s the Phillies lineup to open Spring Training today in Dunedin against the Toronto Blue Jays

While Philadelphia braces for another snowstorm, the Phillies are in Florida and baseball is officially back. First pitch against the Toronto Blue Jays at TD Ballpark in Dunedin is set for 1:07 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia, and the opening Spring Training lineup has some interesting names worth keeping an eye on.

Phillies Lineup to Open Spring Training:

Here’s the full Phillies Spring Training broadcast schedule

Justin Crawford leads things off in center field, which is the storyline to watch all spring.

The son of Carl Crawford is one of the more exciting prospects in the organization and how he looks over the next few weeks will tell us a lot about how close he is to the big league picture.

Adolis Garcia hits second, Edmundo Sosa third, and Otto Kemp slots in at four in the early going. I would keep an eye on Dylan Moore at second base and DH Bryan De La Cruz, who are both in the mix to earn bench spots on Opening Day.

Either way, this obviously isn’t the lineup you’re going to see in October. Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, Schwarber, Realmuto, none of those guys are in the lineup for game one.

That’s fine. Spring training is about development, getting eyes on the depth pieces, and seeing who makes a case for a roster spot. Justin Crawford being at the top of this thing is the name to watch.

Snowstorm about to hit the region, Phillies baseball on the TV. There are worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon.
