Howie Roseman will speak with Dallas Goedert’s agent in the coming days to work out a deal for 2026

Howie Roseman said ahead of the NFL Combine that he’ll be speaking with Dallas Goedert’s agent in the coming days to work out a deal for 2026.

Short and sweet: The Eagles want Dallas Goedert back

This should not be a surprise. Last offseason the Eagles reworked things into a one-year, $10 million deal to keep Dallas Goedert in Philadelphia, and the man went out and made that look like the steal of the century.

Eleven touchdowns. More than double his previous career high. He broke a franchise record for touchdowns by a tight end in a single season, a mark that had been held by Pete Retzlaff since 1965. Pete Retzlaff. That’s not a typo.

Dallas Goedert just turned 31, which is the part of the conversation where people start getting nervous about tight ends. That’s fair. It’s a physically demanding position and the drop-off can come fast.

Still, the production last season was as good as it’s ever been, and you don’t walk away from that without at least having the conversation. Roseman clearly feels the same way.

Eight seasons, all in Philadelphia. 409 receptions, 4,676 yards, 35 touchdowns. The guy has been nothing but a pro his entire career, first playing behind Zach Ertz and then stepping into his own as one of the better tight ends in the league. “Very appreciative of Dallas Goedert” is about as warm as Howie gets publicly, so read into that what you will.

Get the deal done.
