WATCH: Jahan Dotson calls Jalen Hurts one of the best leaders he’s ever been around… funny how that works

Jahan Dotson was asked about Jalen Hurts this week and said simply: “He truly is, I feel like one of the best leaders I’ve ever been around.”

Always refreshing to hear from someone who actually shares a locker room with the guy rather than a radio host who has never been within 100 yards of him.

Dotson came over from Washington in 2024 and has been around the building long enough to have a real read on who Hurts is as a leader.

This is not a preseason sound bite from a new teammate trying to say the right things. This is a guy who has watched Hurts work up close and is telling you what he sees.

Meanwhile the media narrative around Jalen Hurts has spent the better part of two years trying to convince Eagles fans that there is something wrong with him.

The leadership is a problem. The personality is a problem. The contract is a problem. The locker room is not buying in.

Then the guys who are actually in that locker room keep saying the same thing over and over again, that he is the real deal, that he sets the standard, that the team runs through him for a reason.

At some point you have to decide who you believe. The guys running routes with him every day or the guys filling airtime.

As for Jahan Dotson, he is heading into free agency after the Eagles declined his fifth year option. He is an unrestricted free agent in 2026. Would not be the worst thing in the world if he found his way back.
