Providence got 3-feet of snow and someone decided to drive with nearly none of it cleared off their vehicle
The travel ban after the Providence blizzard has been lifted. Great news. People can get back on the roads. WPRI posted an update on that and included video footage to go along with it.
The video is of a car driving down the road completely buried in snow with a tiny little porthole cleared on the windshield and that is it. Just a snow brick with wheels rolling through Providence like everything is completely fine.
Three feet of snow fell on that city. Three feet. And this person looked at their vehicle, decided that the small rectangle of visibility they scraped out was sufficient, and pulled out of the driveway.
Reminder to clear your vehicle: Providence gets crushed with 3-feet of now
The front windshield was barely cleared. The sides were not cleared. The back was not cleared. Just a little peephole into the void and full confidence that this was an appropriate way to operate a motor vehicle after a historic snowstorm. It is honestly so absurd that it looks like a the video is staged.
Now, to be fair, there is a small part of you that has to respect the “I do not care about any of this” energy. A tiny part. It is immediately and completely overruled by the fact that driving a fully snow-covered vehicle is genuinely dangerous to everyone else on the road, but the confidence required to make that decision is at least interesting to observe from a distance.
The intelligence of the average American is something we have to discuss as a country. Clear your car before you drive it. This should not be a controversial position.
