Eagles Howie Roseman NFL Trade Deadline

NFL hands the Eagles four compensatory draft picks

The NFL awarded compensatory picks on Monday and the Eagles collected the maximum number allowed. Four picks. A third, a fourth, a fifth, and a sixth.

NFL gives Philly four compensatory draft picks

The third-round pick came from losing Milton Williams to free agency last offseason. The fourth came from losing Josh Sweat. The fifth likely for Mekhi Becton and the sixth likely for Isaiah Rodgers. All four players left in free agency, all four generated compensation, and the Birds hit the four-pick ceiling.

This is how Howie Roseman operates. You lose players in free agency, you build the picks back into the draft, and you keep the machine running. The Eagles are now sitting on nine picks in the 2026 draft including two in the first three rounds and four in the top four rounds.
