Wild: Ravens inexplicably pull out of Maxx Crosby trade, leaving Raiders speechless

Not sure if we’ve seen anything like this before. After agreeing to trade for Maxx Crosby a few days back, the Baltimore Ravens have officially pulled out of the trade without explanation.

All we have to work with is this statement from the Raiders.

This is still a developing situation, so your guess is as good as mine. Chances are, he failed his physical and the Ravens aren’t comfortable sending two first-round picks to Las Vegas for an injured star. Reasonable.

But why not just say that? Why are the Raiders acting all mysterious about it?

This also leaves the Raiders in a really weird spot. They’ve been busy during free agency, signing eight players on the first day of legal tampering. They probably still have the cap room to bring Maxx Crosby back, but damn, that’s just awkward for everyone involved.

Who knows where this thing goes from here. One thing I do know is, the Eagles are probably ready to swoop in and snag Crosby for themselves. What a story that would be.
