WATCH: Kelly Oubre tells the truth about Embiid’s 70-point game vs. Bam Adebayo’s stat-pad fest

If there’s one thing you can always count on with Kelly Oubre, it’s that he’s going to tell it like it is. So when he was asked about Bam Adebayo’s 83-point night, Oubre didn’t dance around it.

He just said the quiet part out loud.

Kelly Oubre: “Joel Embiid did it in 3 quarters”

Embiid’s 70-point game was far more impressive. If the Sixers wanted to act like a bunch of cornballs, they could’ve easily kept him in and started fouling to push him to 83, too. I hate the Sixers as much as the next guy, but at least we can say they’re not a bunch of stat-padding losers.

In that 70-point performance, Embiid shot 58.3% from the field and went 21-for-23 from the free throw line, while adding 18 rebounds and five assists. Bam, meanwhile, finished 20-for-43 from the field and an absurd 36-for-43 from the line, with just nine rebounds. Oh, and he played 42 minutes.

Embiid didn’t even hit 37.

I rest my case.
