So to summarize, a trade will probably happen, except the team does not want to do it, and nobody has offered to make it work.

Every few months the same reporters dust it off, sprinkle in some unnamed sources, and let the internet do the rest. The Eagles are taking calls. Teams are circling. AJ Brown might want out. Everyone swore it would happen before June 1st.
Now AJ Brown might be traded after June 1st. Got it. Can’t wait.
The goalposts move every single time and nobody in the media is ever held accountable for being wrong because they never actually say anything definitive enough to be wrong about.
Adam Schefter and Dianna Russini have presented zero facts about AJ Brown wanting to leave or the Eagles wanting to trade him. Not one. What they have done is present a years-long hedge dressed up as reporting.

The actual football argument takes about thirty seconds. The Eagles are only a season removed from being Super Bowl champions. They want to win another one this season. AJ Brown is their best player on offense.
Trading him costs $20 million in dead cap and the return is a first round pick that does not help them win a championship this year.
