Eagles rumors spiral out of control as AJ Brown “Insider Scoop” falls apart
Eagles rumors have officially jumped the shark.
At this point, it’s not even reporting, it’s just people recycling nonsense and slapping “sources” on it to farm engagement.
The latest example? A so-called report claiming the Eagles and Patriots already have a deal in place to trade AJ Brown after June 1. The source? An account that isn’t even active anymore.
Yeah. That’s where we’re at.
Eagles Rumors vs Reality
Let’s be very clear about what’s actually happening with the Birds and AJ Brown:
- The team has taken calls on Brown
- The Patriots have been involved in conversations
- A post–June 1 trade has always made financial sense
That’s it. That’s the “news.”
There is no groundbreaking update here. No sudden development. No secret agreement that changes anything.
Even if the Eagles and New England had some kind of framework in place, that wouldn’t be new information, it would just be a continuation of talks that have been happening for weeks.
Stop Treating Fake Insiders Like Sources
The bigger issue here is how quickly garbage gets amplified.
This “Rickey Scoops” account:
- Isn’t reliable
- Has missed on basically everything this offseason
- And now… doesn’t even exist
Yet somehow, that turns into a headline and spreads like it’s coming from Adam Schefter.
At some point, that’s not on the fake insider, that’s on people choosing to believe it.
Eagles Fans Shouldn’t Care Right Now
Here’s the reality: none of this matters right now for the Eagles.
If AJ Brown gets traded, it’s going to happen:
- After June 1, because of the cap
- For a package that makes sense
- On the Eagles’ timeline, not Twitter’s
Until then, it’s all noise.
No tweets, no “rumors,” and definitely no mystery insiders are changing that.
The Eagles situation with AJ Brown hasn’t changed, only the level of stupidity around it has.
It’s mid-March, the cap rules are what they are, and the timeline is obvious.
Everything else? Just people talking to hear themselves talk.
