Tyrese Maxey Miles Bridges Poster Dunk Sixers Hornets

WATCH: Tyrese Maxey puts Miles Bridges on a poster

Tyrese Maxey missed ten games with a right finger tendon strain and came back Saturday night against the Hornets with something to prove.

In the fourth quarter with the game tight, Maxey caught the ball in transition, elevated over Miles Bridges, and threw down a poster dunk that had the building buzzing.

He then walked over to Bridges and extended his hand for a shake. Bridges declined. Maxey pointed at him and laughed.

Tyrese Maxey after the poster… lol

Maxey finished with 26 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds on 10-for-18 shooting and 3-for-6 from three in 43 minutes. Not bad for a guy playing his first game back in over three weeks wearing a splint on his pinky finger.

The last time Embiid, George, and Maxey shared a floor together was January 29th against the Sacramento Kings. Two months of injury and suspension separated that game from Saturday night in Charlotte.

When the three of them were finally back on the court together the Sixers outscored a Hornets team that had won 23 of its last 29 games and ended their five-game winning streak.

Philadelphia improved to 41-33, won the season series against Charlotte two games to one, and claimed the tiebreaker. The Sixers have won seven of their last ten games despite playing most of that stretch shorthanded.

The full roster has been together for two games. They are 2-0.

Miami is next on Tuesday. The standings are about to get interesting.
