Deontay Wilder

WATCH: Deontay Wilder shares wildly personal story and says way too much

Deontay Wilder has never exactly been a boring quote, but this one went completely off the rails.

Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Deontay Wilder gave an absurdly graphic account of how one of his daughters was conceived, claiming her mother used his sperm without his consent and got pregnant that way.

That alone is enough to make the whole thing feel insane, but Wilder did not stop there. He kept going, added even more detail than anyone asked for, and turned it into one of those interviews that makes you wonder why nobody stepped in and said, “Alright man, that’s enough.”

The bigger point buried underneath all the oversharing is that Deontay Wilder says his daughter, who was born with spina bifida, changed his life. He talked about choosing not to terminate the pregnancy and said caring for her gave him purpose. That part is serious, and it is obviously bigger than the tabloid angle most people are running with.

Still, the way Deontay Wilder told the story is what people are going to focus on, because it was absolute TMI from start to finish. Then he piled on by taking shots at the mothers of his children and calling them deadbeats while also preaching fatherhood and responsibility.

That is really the story here. Deontay Wilder had a real point somewhere in the middle of all this, but he delivered it in the most chaotic way possible. It is messy, public, and completely out of pocket. Classic Wilder, apparently.
