Jalen Hurts Propaganda Tour 94.1 WIP Kevin Patullo

The annual Jalen Hurts Propaganda Tour returns and now 94.1 WIP is asking if ‘we’ owe Kevin Patullo an apology

The annual Jalen Hurts propaganda tour has made its return right on schedule. The AJ Brown trade narrative ran its course, nobody moved him, and the media needed a new engagement farm so they pointed their cameras at the quarterback.

Unnamed sources. Vague reports. The usual playbook. It is all garbage and anyone pushing it should be embarrassed.

The most uniquely stupid contribution to this week’s discourse came from 94.1 WIP’s Midday Show, which posted a poll today asking whether Eagles fans owe Kevin Patullo an apology.

Let me address the framing first. Who exactly is the “we” in that question?

No Eagles fan wants to be lumped in with 94.1 WIP. We do not share the same views. We do not share the same opinions. We definitely do not share the same general approach to covering this franchise.

There is no “we.” Do not include us in your poll.

Second. No. Obviously not. The Eagles offense was broken last year and the blame for that belongs in a lot of places but Kevin Patullo, as the offensive coordinator, is at the top of that list.

The poll is presumably framed this way because WIP has now decided the real culprit was Jalen Hurts all along and wants to rehabilitate Patullo’s reputation at the quarterback’s expense.

That is the only context in which this question makes sense. The fact that over 90 percent of voters said no tells you everything about how Eagles fans actually feel about the premise. Cass posting the Joe Giglio image in the replies was the correct and only appropriate response.

Another day, another Jalen Hurts engagement grab, this time from The Inquirer

If anything, 94.1 WIP neesd to apologize to the city of Philadelphia for having a stranglehold on the airwaves and spewing hot garbage that is genuinely hated citywide, on a daily basis. We are the victims here.

If we want to include Kevin Patullo in that, then sure, he deserves an apology too but that has nothing to do with the fact that he was in charge of the Eagles offense last year and it was a disaster.

This is the same station that gave Dianna Russini an Eagles Insider of the Year award despite her being demonstrably wrong about this team repeatedly throughout the season.

This is the same station that spent months pushing the AJ Brown trade narrative that never materialized and now they are running polls about whether fans owe the fired offensive coordinator an apology while real Jalen Hurts nonsense is circulating from unnamed sources that deserve zero oxygen.

There are a million things happening in Philadelphia sports right now worth talking about. The Phillies are just getting started and both the Flyers and Sixers are in legitimate playoff races with less than 10 games left in their respective regular seasons.

But sure, let’s just push false narratives about Jalen Hurts. That’ll win everyone order and change the general hate for all things 94.1 WIP in Philly. Good luck.
