He’s the top tight end in this draft class, an elite athlete at 6-foot-3, 241 pounds, and a guy who can impact the game as both a receiver and a blocker. For an Eagles team always looking for mismatch pieces on offense, that profile makes a lot of sense.

Sadiq is viewed as a dynamic receiving tight end who works the seam well, finds soft spots in zone coverage, and can do damage once the ball is in his hands. Even though his production was not absurdly high by first-round tight end standards, he still put up 51 catches, 560 yards, and eight touchdowns, which is nothing to sneeze at.

What makes him even more interesting for the Eagles is that he is not being sold as a soft, oversized slot receiver pretending to play tight end. He is willing to do the dirty work as a blocker and brings tenacious effort in the run game, especially when he is working in space against linebackers and defensive backs. That sounds like the kind of player this team would love to move around and use in a bunch of different ways.

He is not a perfect prospect. He is not built to be a full-time in-line tight end because he lacks ideal length, and he still needs to sharpen up as a route runner and cut down on drops after posting a 10.5% drop rate in 2025. But that is exactly why the visit matters. The Eagles may be looking at a guy with legit high-end traits who still has room to grow into a bigger role at the next level.
