The Sixers just completed a historic 3-1 comeback in Boston and the fans weren’t done celebrating on the court. They took the party straight to the Celtics postgame broadcast.
A group of Sixers fans crashed the Celtics postgame show and started chanting “We Want Boston” right in the middle of the analysts trying to process what just happened to their basketball team.

The best part of the entire clip is one of the Celtics analysts responding to the chanting fans with “you are ugly.” That was his comeback. His team just blew a 3-1 series lead at home to a seven seed and the sharpest thing this man could come up with on live television was calling the fans ugly.
That’s what happens when your brain is still buffering from watching Joel Embiid wave off your entire arena 20 minutes earlier. You short-circuit and resort to playground insults because you have absolutely nothing else in the tank. Your team collapsed. Your season is over. A bunch of Sixers fans are chanting behind your head on your own broadcast.
What else are you going to say? “You are ugly.” Devastating stuff. Really got us there.
This is the best part about winning in someone else’s building. You don’t just beat the team. You occupy the space. You make yourself heard in a city that spent two weeks talking shit about your franchise, flooding your Instagram comments, and telling you the series was over after Game 4.
Then you come back from 3-1 and chant in the faces of their television personalities while one of them calls you ugly because his brain has stopped functioning.
That’s what this is. A collapse. The Boston Celtics blew a 3-1 series lead to a seven seed. They had three chances to close the Sixers out and couldn’t do it. They lost three straight games. Two of them were at home. The last one was a Game 7 where Embiid hit a three with the lead down to one and waved off their entire arena.

The Celtics postgame crew can be as mad as they want. Their team just committed one of the most embarrassing chokes in recent NBA playoff history. Sixers fans showing up on their broadcast to rub it in is the natural consequence.
The cornball analyst calling people ugly on live television is just the cherry on top. That clip is going to live forever and he’s going to have to watch it every time someone brings up the 2026 playoffs for the rest of his career.
Remember after Game 4 when every Boston fan in existence showed up in my comments to laugh at the Sixers losing by 32 at home? Remember the trolling? Remember being told the series was over and that Embiid should retire?
My comments are quiet this morning. The Celtics postgame show is not. Because Sixers fans are standing behind the analysts chanting “We Want Boston” and the best response anyone in that building could muster was “you are ugly.”
Historic 3-1 comeback. Celtics collapse. Sixers advance. The chants continue.
