Eagles give Big Dom a well deserved contract extension
According to multiple reports, Big Dom DiSandro has signed a contract extension with the Eagles, keeping Philadelphia’s senior advisor to the general manager, chief security officer, and gameday coaching operations right where he belongs.
Big Dom Remains A Philly Institution
The point is simple. Big Dom matters.
He has been with the Eagles since 1999, which means he has seen just about everything this franchise can throw at a person. The chaos, the rebuilds, the Super Bowl runs, the locker room drama, the fanbase having a citywide mental breakdown every other week. Through all of it, Dom has been there.
And this is not just about him being the guy everyone recognizes on the sideline. Big Dom has real responsibilities inside the organization. He helps with background checks on potential roster additions, has connections all over the league, and is clearly someone the Eagles trust.
That matters even more after the Eagles lost a few key front office pieces over the last several months. Keeping Dom in the building gives them some needed continuity.
The same goes for assistant GM Jon Ferrari, who also reportedly received an extension. But let’s be honest, the people came here for Big Dom.
The Eagles keeping him around is just good business. He knows the building. He knows the people. He knows the league. He knows when to step in, when to stay quiet, and probably knows where at least 30 bodies are buried from the last three decades of Eagles football.
That is franchise cornerstone stuff.
Big Dom stays. Howie Roseman sleeps peacefully tonight. Simple as that.
