Joel Embiid proudly proclaims his Gooner status in powerful message

Never painted Joel Embiid as a bonafide Gooner. I guess I was wrong.

Last night, after Arsenal became Premier League Champions, Embiid professed hi9s love for his fellow Gooners, which I guess is what the Arsenal fanbase calls themselves? I don’t know, honestly. I don’t watch soccer. I live in America and pay taxes that go straight to Israel. I don’t have time for anymore games.

Embiid is a well known soccer fan. He’s always Tweeting about the Premier League, more so than anything else, really. It makes sense, he grew up around the sport and it was actually his first love before basketball.

As you can tell, I don’t know shit about the Premiere League or any of the European soccer stuff going on over there. That’s fine. I’m just glad Embiid can proudly Tweet out that he’s a Gooner. That’s powerful.
