Julio Jones AJ Brown Wedding Jalen Hurts TMZ

Julio Jones says the AJ Brown wedding thing isn’t a big deal so TMZ should probably just shut up already

Julio Jones was tracked down like a wild dog by TMZ and rightfully downplayed Jalen Hurts’ absence from AJ Brown’s wedding.

Julio Jones told the rats over at TMZ that it’s not a big deal and basically said people are reading too much into it because NFL players have lives and schedules and not attending a wedding doesn’t mean the sky is falling.

Julio Jones downplays Jalen Hurts’ absence from AJ Brown’s wedding

He’s right. We covered the wedding story last week and said the same thing. A guest list is not a barometer for whether two professional athletes can play football together.

The NFL media machine has been milking this story for a week and a half now and it’s exhausting. Every day there’s a new angle. A new quote from someone loosely connected to the situation. A new segment on a show trying to squeeze one more drop of content out of a wedding in Laguna Beach.

AJ Brown got married, Jalen Hurts wasn’t there, and none of this actually matters >>

TMZ is still running with it and now, they are harrassing poor Juliio Jones about it. Ridiculous behavior. Why is anyone asking retired players to weigh in on whether Jalen Hurts attending or not attending a wedding means AJ Brown is getting traded.

This is the same outlet that covers celebrity divorces and nightclub fights. Now they’re doing investigative journalism on an Eagles wide receiver’s wedding guest list like it’s Watergate.

Can we move on? Please? Julio Jones says it’s not a big deal. Brandon Graham already said Hurts and Brown aren’t as close as they used to be.

Hurts said they talked and they’re in a great place. Brown said they’re two alphas who have had disagreements. Every possible angle of this story has been covered by every possible outlet. There is nothing left to say about the wedding.

I said it last week and I’ll say it again. I don’t need Hurts and Brown to be friends. I need them to be professionals. The Eagles’ Super Bowl window is open. AJ Brown is elite. Trade speculation based on a wedding guest list is the dumbest offseason storyline in the NFL right now and that’s saying something considering the competition.

TMZ, with all due respect, shut up about the wedding. We have a football season to prepare for.
