WATCH: Tony Romo warms up before field sobriety test, still fails and gets arrested
The Tony Romo bodycam footage of his arrest over the weekend is unironically one of the funniest things floating around the internet right now.
Romo was detained and arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence. On Tuesday, TMZ released the bodycam footage of the arrest, including the field sobriety test.
The whole thing is worth a watch. From telling the officer that he was on his way to grandma and grandpa’s, to trying to film the whole thing on his phone, to just being a dork, the footage has it all. But the best part, without question, is the field sobriety test itself.
Not only did he fail miserably, he did an entire stretching routine beforehand.

Getting caught with shooters has to be deflating. Romo was done right then and there. Then the officer asked if he’s had any head injuries recently and you can see the PTSD wash over Romo. The guy literally had to retire because of concussions.
Just good content from Tony Romo, 10/10. I’m sure he’ll be fine in the long run. I can’t imagine CBS will dump him over this.

You bet your ass I’ll be stretching and locking in for a sobriety test. Honestly people, this is a move. I see this as the equivalent when you’re at party and go to the bathroom to look at yourself in the mirror to try to convince yourself that you’re all right. The man was prepping for the most important tightrope walk and eye exam of his life, high IQ move there. One day I’m sure he’ll pass. I salute you Sir.
