Lighten Up: Vic Fangio cracks a Fauci joke at presser, Twitter loses its collective mind

Twitter is up in arms over Vic Fangio’s press conference today. Not about anything football related, of course. It all has to do with him citing Dr. Fauci and pleading the fifth to a question about the safety position.

It’s a harmless joke to anyone who lives in reality. To those who are too terminally online to see anything through a non-political lense, it really hit home.

From Keith Olbermann to the faceless bots who populate the majority of the Twitter timelines, it seemed like everyone had an opinion on it.

For the record, if you’re on the other side of the fence here, championing this as some sort of political statement from Fangio, you’re also a fucking loser. That’s why I included some from both sides in the Tweets above.

Vic Fangio was just quipping, nothing more, nothing less. If you think this is anything more than that, you’re lost.

Also, another one for the record, I want my defensive coordinators to lean a little right. Not saying Fangio leans one way or the other, I’m just saying I wouldn’t be all that mad if he was a Republican.
