Aaron Rodgers sat down with Pat McAfee and crew Monday at Steelers camp. As he’s known to do, he kind of went off the rails during the sit down, talking anything from Dianna Russini to Dr. Fauci.

Love him or hate him, Aaron Rodgers will always speak his mind. I’ll always respect that.

I’m not a Rodgers truther, nor am I someone who hates everything he says. I’m mostly indifferent whenever a professional athlete starts talking about politics or whatever else is happening outside of their sport. Frankly, I don’t really care about their opinions on that stuff.

These people are uber-rich. Life is easier for them than it is for the average American. I’m not going to latch onto what someone with that level of financial security has to say about politics.

But Rodgers has been riding the anti-vax train since 2020, so I’m not shocked that he got on his soapbox about it again.

The part I actually thought was worth listening to was everything he said about Dianna Russini. Unlike American politics, the Russini-Vrabel situation directly affects the league Rodgers plays in. And if you’ve read anything we’ve written about it over the past few months, you know we agree with Rodgers on basically everything he said.

It’s pathetic that there was never a real investigation. It’s embarrassing that Mike Vrabel got off scot-free and then received a standing ovation from Patriots fans at a season-ticket holder event this offseason. The entire thing reeks of corruption.

But God forbid Aaron Rodgers says anything about it publicly. Fuck off.

Members of the media will scoff at him and pretend it doesn’t matter because it came from the weird and wacky Aaron Rodgers. Those people can fuck off too.

Every one of them sat around with their tails tucked between their legs when this story broke. Now, I’m willing to bet those same people will suddenly have plenty to say about Rodgers.

Cowards.
