This is peak Philadelphia right here. A local dad was so fired up about LeBron James signing with the Sixers that he tried to name his newborn baby “LeBron,” and watching the whole thing unfold is genuinely one of the funniest things I’ve seen since the signing broke.

Only in this city does a franchise adding a player send a father into the delivery room lobbying to name his child after him.

The best part is the mother’s reaction from the hospital bed as her husband trolls her with the idea. You can see the exact mix of exhaustion, disbelief, and “you cannot be serious right now” wash over her face in real time.

Incredible content. She just gave birth and now she’s fending off a campaign to saddle their kid with the name of the newest Sixer. Give this woman a medal.
