Eagles undrafted wideout has been the star of training camp so far

With AJ Brown no longer in town, the Eagles have a wide open vacancy in their WR room. DeVonta Smith is the clear No. 1, but the No. 2 is there for the taking.

Makai Lemon has missed a ton of practice, though he feels like the natural pick to replace AJ. Dontayvion Wicks has shown flashes throughout camp as well. But none have compared to Darius Cooper, last year’s undrafted rookie turned preseason star seems like he’s ready to make the leap this season.

According to nearly everyone who’s attended camp so far, Cooper has been the team’s best wideout. He’s made every routine catch, along with a few circus ones sprinkled in there.

Darius Cooper is putting together an unreal practice.

He’s got like five catches in three periods, and they’ve all been different. Digs, outs, crossers, and a go ball from Jalen Hurts just now for a big gain against Riq Woolen and Michael Carter.

It would be awesome to see this guy contribute in a real way this year. By all accounts, I think there’s a really good chance we see it.

Sean Mannion wants to spread the ball around. Seven Green Bay players had 20 or more receptions in 2025, compared to the Eagles who only had four. We’re going to see more than just the top two wideouts get involved this season. With Lemon probably missing time early, Cooper can slot right in as the No. 2 or 3 in this offense.

I’m sure we’ll get to see Coop in action this Saturday when the Eagles take on Baltimore for their first preseason game.
