NBA Schedule: 76ers to face Knicks opening night, Lakers on Christmas Day
Now that LeBron is in town, the Philadelphia 76ers are going to be in the spotlight each and every night. We already know they’re getting 34 primetime games this year, the maximum any team can get. Now, we know who at least two of those games will be against.
Per Shams, the 76ers will play opening night at Madison Square Garden against the defending champion New York Knicks. They’ll also play Christmas Day, which was always a given, against LeBron’s former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
76ers’ two primetime games revealed
NBA opening night is slated for October 20 this year, Sixers-Knicks will be the first game, with OKC and San Antonio following it up on West Coast time.
The time of the Christmas Day slate hasn’t been revealed just yet, but I’m sure we’ll get that info soon enough.
