WATCH: Another week, another White Sox brawl in the stands

I’m starting to think there’s something in the air at White Sox games this month, because these fans simply cannot stop throwing hands.

Last week it was that ugly bleacher brawl at Wrigley, and now, barely any time later, we’ve got a full-blown WWE match breaking out in the upper deck. Somebody needs to check the water supply over there, because things are getting out of hand.

This latest one went down Sunday during the White Sox and Mets game at Rate Field, and several clips are making the rounds on social media. One fan in particular is grabbing all the attention, and for good reason, because this man decided to leap off the top of a chair down multiple rows like he was headlining Monday Night Raw.

An absolutely brazen, unhinged move. The problem is that this pro-wrestler wannabe got his comeuppance instantly, because the guy he tried to attack simply grabbed him and tossed him into another row. Live by the top-rope move, die by the top-rope move.

Look, I hate the Mets as much as anybody, and let’s be honest, they’re a complete dumpster fire this year anyway, so there’s really nothing worth fighting over there.

Beyond that, I’ve never once understood the point of fighting at a game, let alone launching yourself off furniture and kicking dudes down rows of seats. It’s genuinely disgusting behavior, and it’s a bad look for everyone involved. You paid good money for a ticket, and this is what you’re doing with your afternoon?

That said… hell of a video. I’m not going to sit here and pretend I didn’t watch it three times. The wrestling-move attempt, the immediate reversal, the poor guy getting flung into the next section, it’s got everything. Terrible behavior, genuinely, but undeniably elite content.

Get it together, Chicago. Two brawls in two weeks is a bit much, even by baseball-fight standards. Watch the game, keep your feet on the ground, and save the top-rope theatrics for the actual wrestling ring.
