Eagles Practice Squad Breakdown: Every player added since roster cutdown

The Eagles have their practice squad taking shape. Philadelphia signed 13 players Monday, then added a 14th on Sunday night by scooping up a running back the Cowboys just cut loose.

Here’s a full breakdown of who’s on the practice squad, who the Birds lost, and what’s still open.

Eagles practice squad: The initial 13 signings

• DT Uar Bernard — Seventh-round pick out of the NFL’s International Pathway Program. The Nigerian rookie made his first career football tackle in Week 2 of the preseason against the Patriots.
• LB Chance Campbell — Original 2022 sixth-round pick of the Titans. Signed with the Eagles last training camp and spent all of 2025 on the practice squad.
• WR Britain Covey — Signed with the Eagles as a UDFA out of Utah in 2022, left for the Rams in 2025 free agency, then returned to Philadelphia’s practice squad last August.
• DT Gabe Hall — Back for a third straight year on the practice squad. Originally a UDFA out of Baylor in 2024.
• OLB Keyshawn James-Newby — Seventh-round pick this year out of New Mexico. Missed the first two preseason games with an ankle injury but recorded a sack in the finale against the Bengals.
• C/G Jake Majors — UDFA with Tampa Bay in 2025, waived with an injury designation, then picked up by the Eagles’ practice squad last September. Played at Texas.
• T John Ojukwu — Signed a reserve/future deal with the Eagles in January. Spent his first three NFL seasons with the Titans after going undrafted out of Boise State in 2023.
• RB Dameon Pierce — Signed in free agency this offseason after a 2025 season with the Chiefs. Missed camp time with an injury but carried 4 times for 44 yards in his lone preseason game against the Bengals.
• S Maximus Pulley — Undrafted rookie out of Wofford. Recorded 12 tackles across the preseason.
• OLB Mason Reiger — Waived by Miami earlier this month. Named 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl MVP and recorded a sack in the Dolphins’ preseason opener against Washington.
• RB Carson Steele — Signed a reserve/future deal in January. Scored two receiving touchdowns in the preseason and led the Eagles in receiving yards in two games. Originally a UDFA with the Chiefs out of UCLA in 2024.
• OLB Joshua Weru — International Pathway Program signee and former Kenyan National Rugby Team member. Sacked Patriots QB Behren Morton in his second-ever football game.
• S Cole Wisniewski — One of the Eagles’ three seventh-round picks this year, out of Texas Tech. Missed most of camp with a hamstring injury and a concussion.

Eagles add RB Jaydon Blue

The Cowboys cut running back Jaydon Blue on Sunday, and the Eagles scooped him up for their practice squad, per Adam Schefter. Dallas took Blue in the fifth round of the 2025 draft out of Texas, where he rushed for 730 yards on 5.4 yards per carry with 42 catches and 14 total touchdowns as a junior.

As a rookie, Blue played five games for the Cowboys, rushing 38 times for 129 yards and a touchdown (3.4 yards per carry) and catching one pass for 5 yards. He lost the Cowboys’ backup job to Malik Davis in camp. Per Eliot Shorr-Parks, the Eagles hosted Blue on a pre-draft top-30 visit last year, so there was already familiarity there.

Blue joins a crowded Eagles backfield behind Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley, and Dameon Pierce, but it’s a low-cost flier on a player they liked out of college.

Players the Eagles lost on waivers

Four Eagles who didn’t stick on the roster or practice squad were claimed by other teams: Myles Hinton, Cameron Williams, Kapena Gushiken, and Cameron Latu.

Eagles practice squad spots still open

The Eagles have an international exemption slot open, likely to go to Bernard or Weru. That designation would make whichever player gets it ineligible to play in games this season, but it also wouldn’t count against the team’s 16-man practice squad limit, freeing up more room to add players. Deontae Lawson and Zion Wilson are among the names who could still be added.
