Eagles Seven Captains 2026 Season

Here are your seven Eagles captains for the 2026 NFL season

The Eagles named their seven captains for the 2026 season on Friday, and there’s nothing shocking here at all. This is the group of leaders you’d have predicted with your eyes closed, which is exactly how it should be.

A couple of fresh developments worth noting: DeVonta Smith gets his captain patch back, and Jordan Davis will wear one for the first time in his career.

Here are your 7 Eagles captains for the 2026 NFL season

Jalen Hurts: It would be genuinely alarming if he weren’t a captain. He’s got a Super Bowl MVP to his name and he’s the current face of the franchise. Easy call.

Saquon Barkley: A three-time Pro Bowler and the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year who has been a completely unselfish teammate in his two seasons here. No-brainer.

DeVonta Smith: Smitty is stepping into a monster role this year as the clear focal point of the passing offense, and getting his patch back reflects exactly that. The offense runs through him now.

Lane Johnson: Johnson and Jake Elliott are the only two Eagles left on the roster with two rings. He’s a six-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro, and he’s said this will likely be his final NFL season. A living legend, and a fitting captain for what could be his last ride.

Jordan Mailata: The ultimate development story. Mailata went from a guy who had literally never played a down of American football in his life to a star player to a genuine team leader. Incredible journey, well-earned honor.

Jordan Davis: Davis is taking the reins from Brandon Graham as the positive influence and heartbeat of the Eagles’ locker room. That’s a torch worth passing, and Davis has grown into the guy to carry it.

Zack Baun: Works his ass off and leads by example. Exactly the kind of guy you want with a C on his chest.

That’s your seven, and it’s a rock-solid group. Established stars, a couple of legends, and a rising leader in Davis stepping up. No drama, no surprises, just the right people wearing the patches heading into what should be another big season in Philadelphia.
