Kyle Juszczyk Juice Celly Fine NFL 49ers

NFL fined 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for engaging in an offensive demonstration vs Miami

The No Fun League is at it again. The NFL has fined 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for engaging in what they called an “offensive demonstration” during Sunday’s game against Miami. The reasoning in the actual fine letter is a masterpiece of NFL absurdity.

The league stated that the imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste. Kyle Juszczyk, wisely, has already appealed the fine, which makes perfect sense given the fact that his nickname is literally “Juice.”

Kyle Juszczyk fined for Juice Celebration

Does anyone in the NFL front offices even watch football or have any idea what is going on? The rules committee must be operated by AI because it doesn’t take a genius to understand the celebration. For a guy whose nickname is literally “Juice,” could it not be “reasonably construed” that he was, in fact, drinking juice?

No brainer, right?

Kyle Juszczyk is named Juice. He celebrates by pretending to chug a beverage. The most logical, obvious interpretation is that he’s doing a little Juice bit tied to his own nickname.

Somehow, the NFL, in its infinite wisdom, looked at that and decided it was a beer-chugging demonstration worthy of a fifteen-thousand-dollar fine.

Incredible work all around.

This is peak NFL. A league that will happily plaster alcohol ads across every broadcast, stadium, and jersey patch it can find, but the moment a player mimes drinking something on the field, out come the fine letters and the pearl-clutching about “poor taste.” The hypocrisy writes itself.

And you know what this fine is sponsored by? Bud Light. It has to be. The whole thing has Bud Light energy.

Though, in the NFL’s defense, Bud Light is legally grain water and not beer, so maybe Juice really was in the clear the whole time. If anything, chugging a Bud Light is closer to drinking juice than drinking an actual beer. Case dismissed.

Free Juice. Let the man celebrate. The NFL finding new and creative ways to be the most joyless organization on the planet remains one of the most reliable storylines in all of sports. Fifteen grand for pretending to drink something, and his name is Juice. Absolute clown behavior from the league office.
