Not what anyone wanted to see. Luis Arraez appeared to be in a significant amount of pain as he went down after a play at first base, and the early word is a sprained left ankle.
The Phillies are currently in a 1-1 game against the Brewers, still fighting for Wild Card positioning, but this is the kind of news that overshadows everything happening on the scoreboard.

OBVIOUSLY, losing Luis Arraez would be devastating for this baseball team heading into the postseason. The guy has been nothing but solid for an offensively-weak lineup needed since the deadline.
For now, we wait on more information. A sprained ankle can mean a lot of different things, from a day-to-day tweak to something that lingers into October, so until we get an official update on the severity, there’s no sense spiraling.
