Eagles Phans of Philly London The Liberty Line

The Liberty Line is heading to London with Phans of Philly: Your Eagles vs. Jaguars Travel Guide

The Eagles are 2-2, they’re coming off a loss they should have won, and they need a win badly. So we’re doing what we always do when this team needs us. The Liberty Line is packing up and heading overseas with Phans of Philly for Eagles vs. Jaguars in London in Week 5, and we fully intend on bringing a W back across the Atlantic.

The Record Speaks for Itself:

We’ve been rolling with Phans of Philly on Eagles road trips for four years now, and the results when The Liberty Line travels are hard to argue with:

  • 2022: at Arizona Cardinals (Win)
  • 2023: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Win)
  • 2023: at Los Angeles Rams (Win)
  • 2023: at Kansas City Chiefs (Win)
  • 2024: at New Orleans Saints (Win)
  • 2024: at Los Angeles Rams (Win)
  • 2025: at Green Bay Packers (Win)
  • 2025: at Dallas Cowboys (Loss)
  • 2026: at Tennessee Titans (Win)

That’s 8-1 on the road over four seasons. We were one game away from perfect until Dallas last year, in a game the Eagles absolutely should have won. London is the chance to start a new streak, and this team needs it more than ever right now.

Phans of Philly is the Easiest Way to Catch an Eagles Road Game:

If you’ve never done a Phans of Philly trip, here’s how it works. They handle everything, from flights and game tickets to hotels, transportation, activities, tailgates and the full itinerary. Your only job is getting to the airport and making your flight. They take care of the rest.

London is just the start. We’re already looking ahead to escaping the cold in Arizona in early December, and the San Francisco trip at the end of the year looks like a good one too. Check out the Phans of Philly website and come join us.

The London Itinerary:

Here’s what’s already locked in for the trip.

Thursday and Friday, 2:00 PM: 94WIP Live Shows and the Reading Terminal Activation

Phans of Philly is the official travel partner of 94WIP, and the midday show with Joe Giglio and former Eagle Hugh Douglas is coming along for the ride. They’ll be broadcasting live from Passyunk Avenue’s Waterloo location so everyone back home can hear just how much Eagles fans are taking over London.

If you haven’t heard of it, Passyunk Avenue is a Philadelphia-themed bar right in London, and it’s going all out. There’ll be a Reading Terminal activation with food trucks, mobile bars and plenty going on all day.

Expect it to be packed with Eagles fans from all over. The bar is open to the public, and space inside is first come, first served, but there’s a big outdoor area in the tunnel if it fills up.

Friday, 10:00 AM: The Big Eagles Group Photo

We’re getting everyone together for a massive Eagles group photo with Tower Bridge in the background. A professional photographer will be on site to make sure it comes out right. Phans of Philly did this on the Phillies London trip and it turned out great, so we’re running it back. The exact location will be sent out ahead of time.

Sunday: Game Day

Kickoff is at 2:30 PM at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Buses leave the hotel at 9:30 AM, and the ride can take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. If you’re planning to get to the stadium on your own, you can still ride the Phans of Philly transportation after the game.

Sunday, 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM: The Tailgate

The tailgate is at Haringey Sixth Form College (White Hart Ln, London N17 8HR), about a 10-minute walk from the stadium. It’s an indoor and outdoor setup with all of your food and drinks included. Phans of Philly has their DJ flying in from Philly to run the music, and 94WIP will broadcast its Eagles pregame show live from the tailgate with Hugh Douglas, Joe Giglio and Eliot Shorr-Parks.

Stadium Bag Policy:

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium enforces the NFL’s clear bag policy. Check the rules before you head out on Sunday so you’re not stuck at the gate.

Postgame Bus Loading:

A dedicated email with postgame bus details will go out the week of the game. Keep an eye on your inbox.

Know Before You Go:

Money: London is going more and more cashless, so don’t pull out a ton of physical pounds if you exchange money. Most major credit cards give you a conversion rate close to the actual exchange rate when you swipe.

Before you leave, call your bank and credit card companies to let them know you’re traveling internationally so they don’t lock your cards on your first pint. While you’re on the phone, ask about foreign transaction fees. Some cards charge 1-3% on every purchase, and others charge nothing, so figure out which card to bring.

Phone Service: Call your carrier before you go and make sure you have the right international data and service plan. WhatsApp is also huge overseas. It’s a free calling and messaging app that works over WiFi and only uses data when you’re off it, which makes it the cheapest and easiest way to stay in touch with people back home.

Get your friends and family on it before you leave. The Phans of Philly team will be on WhatsApp too if you need to reach them while you’re in London.

What to See While You’re There:

There’s a ton to do in London, and you’ll have time outside of the scheduled events to explore. A few tips before you start planning. Book tours ahead of time rather than waiting until you land, because London is busy and there’s going to be a flood of fans in town that week. When you compare tour companies, read exactly what’s included and what isn’t, since they vary a lot on transportation, guides, timing and access.

Here are some of the top spots worth checking out.

The landmarks:

  • Buckingham Palace, where the Changing of the Guard happens
  • Tower of London, about a 10-minute walk from the hotel
  • Tower Bridge, also close to the hotel
  • Houses of Parliament and Big Ben
  • Westminster Abbey
  • St. Paul’s Cathedral
  • Trafalgar Square
  • Piccadilly Circus
  • The London Eye, the giant observation wheel with views over the whole city
  • HMS Belfast
  • Windsor Castle

The museums and culture:

  • The British Museum
  • The Natural History Museum
  • The Victoria and Albert Museum
  • Tate Modern
  • Imperial War Museum
  • Royal Festival Hall
  • The West End for theater shows
  • Abbey Road, for your Beatles crosswalk photo

The markets, shopping and neighborhoods:

  • Borough Market
  • Camden Market
  • Spitalfields Market
  • Covent Garden
  • Soho
  • Oxford Street
  • Kensington Gardens

Want to Hit Paris Too?

Me and Cass are looking to hop on a 4-hour train to Amsterdam at some point before the Eagles on Sunday. If you want to do that, then you can simply DM us on Instagram or Twitter and join us.

We’re a good time. I promise.

Another idea would be Paris. Some travelers have done a day trip to Paris on past trips, and a few people have already asked about it for this one. Tour companies can set it up for you, or you can go on your own if you want more flexibility once you’re there. The move is to book one of the first Eurostar trains out of London in the morning and one of the last trains back that night, which is exactly what the tour companies do.

We’re Going To London to Save The Eagles Season

The Eagles need a win, and we’re bringing the 8-1 road record to London to help them get it. If you’re making the trip, come find us and if you’re not, make sure you’re watching, because Tottenham is about to be green.
