Atlanta Braves’ Blooper got testy on Twitter, clearly forgot his place in MLB mascot hierarchy

Atlanta Braves ‘mascot’ and known Epstein client, Blooper, just doesn’t know when to shut up. The fuzzy abomination took to Twitter today to respond to Barstool’s Big Cat saying he’s a knock-off Phillie Phanatic. It wasn’t the first time he managed to embarrass himself talking about the greatest mascot in sports history.

Blooper took issue with Pardon My Take rightly claiming he’s a Phillie Phanatic wannabe:

There are a couple of things I take issue with when it comes to this cheap imitation from Atlanta.

First off, why does he tweet like this? I understand that the mascot isn’t real and the Twitter account is run by an admin, but you’ve got to at least play into the character a little bit. If you’re going to do this, you can just tweet from your personal account and deal with the internet consequences like an adult.

Second, how is making fun of the Phillies for losing in the NLCS a burn? The Braves lost to the Phils in the NLDS in pretty embarrassing fashion after winning the division. That’s a collapse if I’ve ever seen one.

Games 6 and 7 of the NLCS weren’t pretty by any means, but Blooper’s squad was watching it from the couch. Plus, last year marked the second season in a row the Braves were bounced by the Fightins.

While he is winning the ratio war on the timeline, it’s obvious how easily rattled this admin is. The inferiority complex is crazy, as this is far from the first time he’s taken aim at the Phanatic on social media to try and prove he’s a worthy opponent.

Meanwhile, it just becomes more apparent how weak Blooper is as a mascot. No lore, no history, and, quite frankly, no swag. How has he even lasted this long?

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
