Josh Richardson Enters Concussion Protocol – No Timetable for Return

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Another Sixers starter is out with an injury.

Josh Richardson is entering concussion protocol after banging heads with Alec Burks midway through the 2nd quarter in Sunday’s 130-136 loss to the Clippers. There is currently no timetable for a J-Rich return.

Just so we’re all on the same page: Ben Simmons is currently out with a back injury. We have Joel Embiid has a sprained shoulder. And now, J-Rich is out and we’re not sure when he will return.

The Sixers can’t catch a break. That’s for sure. But we can, however, smile at the fact that Shake Milton has been playing fantastic, right? The Sixers currently sit in the 5th Seed in the Eastern Conference – a half-game ahead of the Pacers and a game and a half behind the Heat for the 4th seed.

It’s time to hold on for dear life until we get healthy. I am a strong believer that a healthy Sixers team is built for the playoffs. As long as we get in, NOBODY will want to face this Sixers team.

We have 3 more games on the road: Lakers, Warriors, Kings. It would be huge to split this road trip and come back home 2-2.

We’re expecting Embiid back when we return home. Simmons unsure. J-Rich unsure.

At this point – we’ll just have to accept the things we can’t change and hope for the best.

unfiltered, opinionated, and certainly do not care if you like it or not.
