Matisse Thybulle wants to be a Boomer.

Known 76ers Public Enemy #1 Matisse Thybulle holds dual citizenship between the good ol’ USA and Australia. He spent 7 years in Australia and his sister Chloe was born in Sydney.
With an up-to-date passport and citizenship – Thybulle is not ruling out suiting up for the Boomers in the 2020 Olympics.
With notable boomers Ben Simmons and Brett Brown already in consideration to play and coach for Australia – Thybulle would be a huge addition to the squad. Other notable Boomers include Patty Mills, Aaron Baynes, Dante Exum, Joe Ingles, and Matthew Dellavedova.
Matisse’s decision will come after the NBA season but he’s definitely excited about the opportunity and has the support of fellow boomers on the 76ers – Ben & Brett.
“It’s really exciting they have my back and they want me to play and be a part of it,”
It will be tough to watch our guys suit up for another country but that’s expected every time the Olympics roll around. It will always be USA vs Everybody for me – but I’m glad that a young Thybulle will have the opportunity to get some playing time on the international stage. Anything that will help grow his game and get more experience works for me.
I also expect Shake Milton to be starting PG on the USA squad but we’ll just have to wait and see if he can continue to dominate at a high level.
The NBA playoffs begin April 18th and the Olympics start July 24th.
