Claude Giroux’s Response to Max Kellerman was Perfect

Max Kellerman was talking nonsense again on ESPN’s First Take. This time, his comments were in regards to hockey.
I apologize in advance that you have to read this.
Listen, I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but in the United States of America, no one really cares about hockey. You know, the old joke is every town has 20,000 hockey fans, they all have season tickets, so the arenas are always sold out but the TV ratings don’t do anything. So it’s not one of the four major team sports.
OUR CAPTAIN Claude Giroux wasn’t having it. With a simple tweet, Max Kellerman was sent home on social media with his tail between his legs.
I don’t want to hurt your feelings, but settle down Max @maxkellerman https://t.co/re5G7lgl0x

It doesn’t seem like much but here’s why the subtle tweet was so important. ESPN First Take just loves to get a rise out of fans and players alike on social media. It’s what they live for and it’s why First Take is popular. People play right into the show’s hands.
By simply stating, “I don’t want to hurt your feelings”, Claude basically was like “Max, you’re a joke. Philadelphia loves hockey” which is 100% accurate.
I don’t know why anyone would want to be like Skip Bayless but it seems Max Kellerman is on a war path to be just like him. Hate to see it. Love to see it, however, from Claude Giroux.
